A radial star sits at the center, ringed by a wreath of small florals and leaves, then a band of fine spoke lines, then a wide border of larger flowers and scrolling leaves running around the flat rim.

Yes, the high-fired ceramic construction and sturdy base can safely support heavy dishes like rice pilafs, casseroles, and layered foods up to several pounds.
Is this still authentic Multani pottery even though it isn't blue?
Yes. It's mold-cast and hand-painted using the same technique as our blue pottery pieces, just finished in a black and white palette instead of cobalt.
Is the black and white pattern hand-painted or printed?
Hand-painted, freehand, which is why the spacing of the florals and spoke lines will vary slightly from piece to piece.
Can this large platter be used as wall decor when not serving food?
Yes, the 15-inch diameter and detailed mandala pattern make it suitable for display as decorative wall art or as a statement centerpiece when not in use for serving.
