A ceramic mug is one of the most personal objects in daily life — held every morning, carried through work, and present at the table. When that mug is a piece of authentic Multani blue pottery, it is also a small, functional fragment of one of Pakistan's oldest surviving craft traditions.
Craftan's Blue Pottery Mugs collection brings together handmade ceramic mugs and glasses produced by artisan workshops in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan — the historic city at the centre of the Kashigari glazed ceramic tradition for over 300 years. Every piece is mold-cast and individually hand-painted with mineral-based, lead-free glazes in the cobalt blue-and-white palette that defines authentic Multani blue pottery.
Ceramic Mugs — 300 ml — Craftan's blue pottery mugs are handled ceramic drinking vessels hand-painted in cobalt blue and white floral designs by artisans in Multan. At 300 ml they are standard mug capacity — suited to tea, coffee, or any hot or cold beverage. Each mug is mold-cast and painted individually, meaning no two are identical. Minor variations in brushstroke and pattern are the mark of a human hand, not a defect. Currently available in Blue Floral design, with new designs being added.
Ceramic Glasses — 300 ml — Handleless cylindrical ceramic drinking glasses in cobalt blue and white floral patterns. Suited to cold drinks, water, fresh juice, or traditional Pakistani chai served glass-style. The handleless form gives these a clean, minimal profile that works equally well as a drinking vessel and as a small display piece or pen holder. Currently available in Blue Floral design, with new patterns being added.
This collection is actively expanding. New mug designs in multiple cobalt blue-and-white patterns are being added regularly — follow Craftan on Instagram at @craftan_decor or check back on this page for new arrivals.
Looking for tea sets or kehwa cups? Those are stocked separately in Craftan's Blue Pottery Tea Sets collection.
The craft behind every mug:
Multani blue pottery — known historically as Kashigari — is one of the few surviving glazed ceramic traditions in South Asia with continuous, unbroken artisan production. The craft arrived in Multan via Persian and Central Asian trade routes and has been practiced by artisan families in the city for over three centuries. The characteristic cobalt blue-and-white palette, the mineral-based, lead-free glazes, and the hand-painted floral and geometric motifs are defining features of authentic Kashigari work.
When you use a Craftan blue pottery mug, you are using a piece that was made by hand in the same workshops, with the same glaze traditions, that Multan's ceramic artisans have maintained for generations.
All pieces are lead-free, fully functional for daily use, and delivered across Pakistan. Free shipping on orders over PKR 15,000.
