This hand-painted ceramic sweet bowl is a mold-cast serving piece from Multan, Pakistan. The 9-inch bowl trades the floral look for a geometric one: a band of X-shaped lattice panels in cobalt, sky blue and white runs around the exterior, divided by dark blue vertical lines, with a row of small white petal shapes near the base and a solid cobalt rim.
The 9-inch diameter and 3-inch depth hold generous family-style servings, typically 5 to 7 individual dessert portions or soup for 3 to 4 people.
