The same eight-sided box as our cobalt arch version, painted with a much busier pattern. Big white fan palmettes run round the body, each one striped with fine blue lines and topped with a small sky-blue drop. Below them sits a band of sky-blue curls, and above them a ring of white dots just under the rim.

The domed lid picks up the same white and sky blue in curling flourishes, with a cobalt knob in the middle. It measures 4.5 inches across, and the inside is glazed plain cream.

How is this different from the cobalt arch box?

Same shape and size. This one has more white and two shades of blue, so it looks lighter and busier on a shelf. The arch box is mostly solid cobalt.

What fits inside?

Rings, studs, hoops, hairpins and a fine chain or two. A chunky watch or a stack of bangles will not fit.

Does the lid stay on?

It sits into the rim under its own weight and keeps dust out. It does not lock, so lift the box from underneath, not by the knob.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Close, but it is painted by hand. The palmettes are spaced a little differently on each box and the blues can shift a shade between kiln batches.

How is it packed?

Bubble wrap and a fitted carton. Photograph any damage the day it arrives and we replace it.
