This 8-inch vase takes the same bulbous body and flared mouth as our other traditional Multani vases, but the surface pattern is different. Instead of white vines on solid cobalt, the artisan painted a repeating leaf-and-petal trellis in blue and white across the whole body, with a narrow white ribbed collar just below the rim and a solid blue lip.
Yes. The interior is fully glazed with a lead-free finish, so it holds water without leaking or staining.
The 3.5-inch base diameter keeps it steady on a table, mantel, or shelf, though it's worth keeping it away from the edge of a busy console.
Hand-painted, after the base glaze goes on. The exact leaf spacing shifts slightly from vase to vase since no two artisans paint it identically.
You can use it for a small potted plant, but there's no drainage hole. Either add one yourself or use it as a cachepot with the nursery pot sitting inside.
