This hand-painted ceramic sweet bowl is a mold-cast serving piece from Multan, Pakistan. The 9-inch diameter bowl keeps a plain cream interior and puts the pattern on the exterior instead: a row of white petal shapes just below the rim, and a band of blue, white and pale yellow fan-leaf shapes lower down. The extra inch of depth over our standard sweet bowl gives it a bit more room for family-style servings.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size portions does this 9-inch bowl accommodate?
The 9-inch diameter and 3-inch depth hold generous family-style servings, typically 5 to 7 individual dessert portions or soup for 3 to 4 people.
Is the paint food-safe for serving sweets and hot dishes?
Yes, the hand-painted exterior is sealed under a lead-free glaze, so it's food-safe for both hot and cold dishes.
Why is the interior plain instead of painted?
This design puts the pattern on the outside and keeps the inside a clean cream surface, so the food itself stands out when served.
Can this bowl go in the fridge or freezer?
Yes, the ceramic and glaze handle cold storage fine. Avoid sudden temperature swings, like moving it straight from the freezer to a hot oven.
