Yellow is unusual in Multani work and it is the whole point of this lamp. The ground is a soft mustard, the drawing is done in thin blue outline, and the flowers are left white so they lift off the yellow. Banded like the other slim lamps: florals, leaf chains, pickets and zigzags stacked down the body.

Does it come with a shade?

No. The base is sold on its own so you can pick a shade that fits your room. Photos show it bare.

Is the yellow bright or muted?

Muted. It fires to a mustard, closer to turmeric than lemon. Screens tend to show it brighter than it is.

Is it wired and ready to plug in?

Yes. It comes with the bulb holder, cable and plug fitted, wired for 220-240V. Bulb not included.

Which bulb should I use?

A warm white LED. They run cool, which matters because the ceramic sits close to the holder.
