Frequently Asked Questions
What are the 15 pieces?
One teapot (28 oz), one lidded sugar pot, one milk jug, six cups and six saucers.
Is the white a true white?
It is a warm cream rather than a bright white. That is the color of the fired clay body under a clear glaze, and it is what separates Multani work from factory porcelain.
Can I put this in the microwave and the dishwasher?
Yes. The glaze is lead-free and the pieces are fired high enough for both. The teapot lid is the one piece worth washing by hand, only because the knob takes the knocks in a dishwasher rack.
Will every piece match exactly?
No. Each piece is painted by hand, so petal size and brush pressure shift a little from cup to cup. Order the set in one go and it all comes from the same kiln batch, which keeps the blues close.
Handcrafted in Multan, Pakistan. Minor variations in color and pattern are natural features of authentic handmade work.
