Each ceramic serving piece is mold-cast — not wheel-thrown — from a blended clay mixture. After drying and bisque firing, artisans hand-paint each piece with mineral-based pigments. The cobalt blue pigment appears grey-black when applied and transforms to vivid blue only during the final high-temperature kiln firing. A lead-free mineral glaze is then applied, and the piece undergoes its final firing at 900–1,100°C.
